Dr. Hebert received his Bachelor of Science from St. Edwards University in Austin. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas at Houston Medical School, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society. Remaining at UT Houston, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his postdoctoral fellowship in the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension.
Upon completing his fellowship, he founded Kidney and Hypertension Associates of Dallas, a renowned nephrology practice in Dallas. Dr. Hebert also maintained a specialty practice at Baylor University Medical Center, holding a faculty position at the Baylor Scott and White Dallas Campus for Texas A&M University Medical School. Throughout his career, Dr. Hebert has consistently been named one of the Best Doctors in Dallas for 15 years and was honored by Baylor University Medical Center as Subspecialty Teacher of the Year on four separate occasions.
In addition to his clinical experience at Baylor University Medical Center, he served as a medical director, teacher, lecturer, and attending physician for the fellows, residents, medical students, and nursing students enrolled in master's or doctoral degree programs. A connecting thread through his career is that he has repeatedly been sought out to collaborate with peers on the most complex nephrology cases, earning him a reputation as a widely trusted and respected expert in the medical community.
