At MD2 Los Altos, you'll be cared for by Dr. Amy Elliott and Dr. Allen Namath. The two concierge medical physicians have superlative reputations, bringing tremendous thought-leadership in the fields of internal medicine, rheumatology and pulmonology, and have practiced in Palo Alto for more than 20 years each. The physicians are affiliated with Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF), Menlo Clinic and Stanford Medical Center and have long-standing ties with the top specialists in the area.
Dr. Amy Elliott
Dr. Amy Elliott, a sought-after rheumatologist and internist, is renowned for her uncompromising commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. In recognition of her superlative academic achievements and medical acumen, she has received numerous awards throughout her academic journey and medical career.
Dr. Elliott earned her Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and her Medical Doctorate from University of Vermont College of Medicine, where she graduated with multiple honors, including induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. From there, she trained in Internal Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. Remaining at Stanford University Medical Center, Dr. Elliott completed a 3-year fellowship in Rheumatology & Immunology. During her tenure with Stanford, she has been involved in clinical Immunology research related to targeted disease treatment with novel biologic therapies for rheumatologic conditions.
Upon completing her fellowship, she began her career as a rheumatology physician at Menlo Medical Clinic. She would hold this position for over a decade before joining MD². During her tenure at Menlo Medical Clinic, Dr. Elliott was elected to an executive leadership role as the Financial Chair of the Physician Board of Directors. Next of patient care, her greatest passion is mentoring and teaching young people in math and science, and she has dedicated much of her free time to doing so.
Uniquely board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, Dr. Elliott is also a member of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Allen Namath
Dr. Allen Namath is renowned as one of the foremost Pulmonologists in the country. As a physician he strives to care for his patients as he would care for his own family, and he is perhaps best known for his empathic approach to medicine.
He is nationally acclaimed for his research in the fields of critical care and pulmonology, having published his findings in several prestigious medical journals and given lectures at conferences across the country.
Dr. Namath earned both his Bachelor of Science as well as his Doctorate of Medicine from Stanford University. Remaining at Stanford Hospital, he completed his internal Medicine Residency, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, where he rose to the rank of Chief Fellow. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Namath has practiced for more than a decade in the department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation and at Stanford Hospital. His care has reached many thousands of patients, from preventing diseases to addressing unforeseen emergencies.
Dr. Namath is board certified in internal medicine and holds the unique distinction of being a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. He is a dedicated listener and communicator and has been honored at Stanford for his teaching excellence.
As a medical leader and educator, Dr. Namath has devoted himself to public and professional service at the national and regional level. He is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Chest Physicians and he serves in leadership roles at both Palo Alto Medical Foundation and Stanford Medical Center, focusing on making the quality of care the best it can be.
