Dr. Anne Lipke’s journey from Puerto Rico and Florida to Virginia shaped her into the compassionate and inquisitive physician today. As the daughter of educators, her natural curiosity and love for puzzles have always driven her, leading her to the world of medicine. Though she initially planned to specialize in neurosurgery, her deep passion for solving complex problems and fostering long-term patient relationships ultimately guided her to internal medicine.
Throughout her career, Dr. Lipke has earned accolades at every stage for her academic excellence, teaching, and clinical practice. From being inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society during her junior year at the Medical College of Virginia, to being repeatedly named a “Top Doctor” in the Seattle area, her dedication to her field shines brightly.
After relocating from Virginia to the Pacific Northwest to train in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Washington, Dr. Lipke joined Swedish Medical Center, where she made a lasting impact. While she practiced across all Swedish campuses, she spent significant time building and leading the Pulmonary and Critical Care division at the Issaquah campus since its inception in 2011. Known for her exceptional clinical skills and her collaborative approach, Dr. Lipke is a respected figure in the medical community.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lipke is a devoted mother to her children and her beloved Great Dane. She’s also working on becoming a better fly-fishing companion to her husband in the years ahead.
