Dr. Michael Estes is esteemed by his peers and valued by his patients for his superior diagnostic skills, consultative expertise and empathetic approach to delivering care. In recognition of his clinical excellence, Dr. Estes has been repeatedly recognized throughout his career by California Super Doctors as a “Rising Star” and subsequently a “Super Doctor” since 2015.
Dr. Estes received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston College. He then earned both a Master of Science in Physiology and Applied Biophysics as well as his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Estes is board certified in Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Prior to starting MD² Santa Monica, Dr. Estes served as clinical faculty for nearly a decade at UCLA Medical Group. Similar to his partner, Dr. Estes holds staff appointments at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center and Providence St Johns Health Center. In addition to his direct patient care responsibilities, Dr. Estes is a father of three, serves on the board of directors for the non-profit Specialty Family Foundation, and provides volunteer medical care through a housing organization in downtown Los Angeles.
