Dr. Ken Nishino is a trusted and highly respected physician in his community, renowned for his compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. Dual board-certified in internal medicine and geriatrics, he has dedicated his career to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, followed by a residency in internal medicine. He continued his postdoctoral training by pursuing a Fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Hawaii.
At MD2, Dr. Nishino serves as a primary care physician. He is focused on personalized treatment plans, which aim to promote optimal health and wellness for his patients.
Dr. Nishino previously worked at Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue in a number of critical capacities. He served as the Medical Director of several Overlake specialty healthcare clinics, provided geriatric primary care and was a call-in hospitalist. Prior to joining Overlake, he served as a staff geriatrician at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Hawaii.
Dr. Nishino’s dedication to providing exceptional patient care has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Elizabeth Lehmann-Taylor Excellence in Patient Care Award and multiple Top Doctor accolades from Seattle Magazine and Seattle Met. His outstanding contributions to hospital-based care and teaching have also been acknowledged with prestigious awards from The Queen’s Medical Center and The University of Hawaii. Dr. Nishino is an elected Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Geriatrics Society.
