Dr. Frank Wang is board-certified in internal medicine and is renowned for his thought leadership in sports cardiology and sports-related concussions. His expertise in these areas is widely lauded, and he has authored over 25 publications and lectures extensively on various sports medicine-related topics for interns, residents, and medical staff.
Dr. Wang received his undergraduate degree in art history from Dartmouth College and his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. After completing his internal medicine residency at Mount Auburn Hospital, he joined Harvard University Health Services as a primary care physician, where he had remained for the entirety of his career prior to joining MD². He also holds a faculty position at Harvard Medical School, where he is an Assistant Professor of Medicine. In addition, he is on staff at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
In addition to his clinical and academic appointments, Dr. Wang has served as the Director of Sports Medicine and the Head Team Physician for Harvard University Athletics for many years. He has been a Team Physician for the Boston Red Sox for over ten years, a position he will continue to hold. He also supervises athletic training, physical therapy, medical students, and residents in a clinical setting.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
