Philadelphia

Dr. Antonette Brigidi is a highly respected board-certified internal medicine physician known for her compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. Dr. Brigidi maintains the early commitments that earned her superlative reputation- partnering with patients to improve wellbeing, and unwavering advocacy.  Raised in a multigenerational Italian American household outside Philadelphia, she developed a deep appreciation for long-term therapeutic relationships with patients and families. She finds the most fulfillment in fostering therapeutic bonds that enable each patient to enjoy their uniquely rich and meaningful lives. Dr. Brigidi accomplishes this through an emphasis on health and wellbeing, seamlessly folding in multi-specialty care and therapeutic lifestyle interventions. It is the highest compliment for patients to ask her to care for others whom they hold dear.

Dr. Brigidi earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry with Honors from The Johns Hopkins University, then her doctorate in Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her postdoctoral Internship and Primary Care Residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

After her training, Dr. Brigidi joined a general internal medicine practice at Chester County Hospital but returned to Penn as faculty in 2010, recognizing she craved the collaborative teaching environment for her own continued learning. At Penn, she has seen patients and taught medical, nursing, and pharmacy trainees in numerous internal medicine ambulatory and inpatient sites in West Philadelphia and spent 10 years seeing patients at Penn Medicine at Radnor.

In 2020, Dr. Brigidi was recruited to join Penn Signature Services as Chief Medical Officer, where she saw patients and co-directed Executive Health, the Penn Passport program (a membership travel program), and Penn Global Medicine at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine (PCAM). In 2024, as these programs grew and she developed an interest in Lifestyle Medicine, she transitioned to Lead Physician for Penn Executive Health at PCAM, while continuing to see primary care patients. She is passionate about gardening and cooking, inspired by the culinary medicine course she co-directs at the Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Brigidi holds the unique distinction of being Board Certified in Internal Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
