Frustrated with overcrowded practices, rushed appointments, reactive care, and complex billing processes, Dr. Howard Maron joined Dr. Scott Hall to reimagine primary care. Pairing the basic human desire to live longer, healthier lives with the need for a trusted doctor-patient relationship, in which the physician knows their patient deeply and treats them with the respect they deserve, their vision marked the start of elite concierge medicine.

In 1996, the first MD² concierge medical office opened in Seattle, WA. The core elements of the modern MD² experience were present from the beginning: no-wait, unrushed, completely private visits that allowed physicians and patients to build strong relationships that reached beyond the practice walls.

In the years since, MD² has expanded to more than 30 concierge medical practices across the country, leading a growing movement of physicians who want to work for patients, not for insurance companies.

In addition to MD²’s growth, our original vision for a more patient-centered mode of medicine has been realized and shared by other practices. MD² remains at the very pinnacle of the field as the original elite concierge medicine provider, and by upholding the core MD² tenet—that physicians only serve 50 families at a time—MD² patients receive, by definition, the most refined, time-tested level of concierge medical service available.
