Los AngelesAs a graduate of UCLA Medical School, I have a deep respect for the world class medical community and institutions in the surrounding area. It will be a sincere pleasure to open an MD² medical office in Los Angeles.
Let me give you a little bit of background about the origins of MD². When I was traveling with the Seattle Sonics, as their team physician, I found I really got to know my patients as individuals, and could provide a new level of care, with accelerated access to specialists, in an unprecedented way. It was an extraordinarily rewarding way to practice medicine. And so, back in 1996 I started MD², which now has five offices across the country.
MD² is an extremely high-end retainer group, comprised of very distinguished internists, each caring for only a small number of families.
Central to our expansion is the adherence to the most crucial element of our network. That is: we seek only those special physicians with whom to partner. We look for those seasoned physicians who have been distinguished by their communities and by their peers as being the "star" internist. This "doctor’s doctor" tends to take care of the who’s who but does so with integrity and skill, thus maintaining the respect of the sub-specialists within their hospital systems. On this we will never compromise.
It is what defines us and enables us to build a network of world-class physicians with access to renowned specialists and medical institutions.
I cannot begin to share with you what a privilege it has been to serve my patients for the last 14 years under this system. Whether it is our private and functional surroundings, our ability to do house calls when necessary, or our ability to accompany patients to important consultations. The unique things we are able to do under the best of circumstances are endless. Just being an MD² physician is a source of pride. MD² is truly a life changing opportunity for the right physician.
If you believe you are such a physician, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss a partnership with you.
Respectfully, |
 Howard G. Maron, MD Howard.Maron@md2.com |
